I am Jackie Rosenheim, founder of ALIGN Therapeutic Yoga
I, like you, have had chronic pain due to scoliosis from the time I was a teen. Through practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching it for a decade, I began to experience the healing potential of yoga myself. My teaching allowed me to dive deeper into the practice to discover ways I can make postures more accessible for all bodies.
By using my body as my greatest teacher and through the use of clear alignment, I have developed techniques to manage my own pain. My mission transitioned from healing myself to enabling others who suffer from chronic pain with the tools and techniques that I both learned from studying with some of the best teachers in the world and that I developed myself.
My close attention to anatomy, along with my slower, nurturing style, attracted clients that also have pain. I have worked with many clients in various types of pain and watched them transform from walking into my studio in tears to walking out with a smile on their face.
I am confident that within my Wellness Workshop for Chronic Pain, you will gain an awareness of the relationship between pain and stress and learn how to play an active role in stress reduction in order to heal your pain.
